I have posted my paintings to this site because my intent in learning to paint is to be able to paint Tuscan landscapes during my trip. I have not taken any lessons and my first painting was started in November 2010. They are all in Acrylic paint on canvas.
My plan is to load the car with painting supplies and head out into the countryside and choose a place to paint. The interesting thing about this approach is that as time goes by the light changes which can dramatically change what I will see. It will be a challenge to do this as I have only ever worked from photographs to date. Of course I will bring my camera as well so that I can print photos of those scenes to work more on the paintings later. Lots of water and a picnic basket will make these outings more enjoyable...and I mustn't forget a hat, stool and umbrella as well. I can hardly wait!
Castelmuzio
Castelmuzio is the town I will call home for 3 months. Only 240 residents that dont speak much English..it will be like playing sherades!
