I am back home from Charlottetown and although it is a lovely city, I was very happy to leave and make my way home. As it turned out there were long delays due to the Royal Couple landing in Ottawa that morning. Instead of arriving at 7:00 PM I did not arrive in Ottawa till almost midnight.
I spent a great deal of time on Monday changing my travel plans due to the issue with my stay exceeding 90 days. Changing my flights was costly, $400.00 change fee. However I discovered that by flying on Sundays the fares were the same as my original flights. So for anyone travelling to Europe compare the flights carefully, I expected fares to be the least expensive during the week but that is not the case. Travel on Sundays!
My new dates for my trip are leaving Canada on September 4th and arriving in Rome on Septmeber the 5th, 2011. I return from Italy on December 4th, 2011. There is still lots of time available if anyone would like to join me.
